IMovie
Things I learned how to do in IMovie were many things such as when you connect a camera to the computer a screen with all your pictures will just come up and you can just import them over to your new project. The project window is how you create your movie. You drag what ever the events that you have imported from bottom box to the project window which is the top box. You can find music, photos, title pages and transitions to just above and to the right of your new event box. To add music just find the song that you would like to use and drag it over to your project window until the entire box shows green. At the end to pick your theme you go to file, project properties and then pick the one that fits your desire. At the end when you are finished you can share your video by going to share and then exporting it as what is needed. If you wanted to export it as a smaller file for just your IPhone you can upload it as a mobile file. If something bigger just change the file upload as a large upload. They make it very easy to share IMovies for you.

Walking Gallery
My favorite themes that I saw today were sports related. A few people did baseball which I love. Another person that I saw did a Mac Miller/ Wiz powerpoint and that was pretty neat. A few of my favorite edits were on the Mac Miller/ Wiz powerpoint where he used effects to change the colors and made Mac Miller blue and had him stand out. When I listened to Morgan's powerpoint her music mix fit her powerpoint very well. I am not a huge fan of the music she selected, but it seemed to fit very well with her powerpoint photos. Noah's mix was good also because I like listening to Mac Miller and Wiz. These two units taught me a lot about how to edit photos as well as put sound on to the power point. Editing photos was very unique because there were a lot of things I did not know you could do within just something like photoshop. Sound editing was probably my favorite unit so far. I found it very fun to mix songs with one another and put scenes together with a song behind it like we did with the movie montage. I have learned a lot about both of these units and really enjoyed. This class has made me more creative which will help me in the future.

News Podcast
During the last two days I have been working on a news podcast. News podcasts are used to share news with people who can not read there own news. I gave a podcast about how the MLB will not allow Manny Ramirez to play winter ball due to what he has done in the MLB. We were given requirements from our "boss" telling us that we had a podcast due in one day. We had to find a short article and read it on garage band or audacity and give it effects such as a little jingle before and after. I thought I did very well with this project. I gave it a good jingle with many pictures including myself in a title page. I think my boss will think this is a professional podcast and should use it on the air. I did well with telling the entire article making the main points come across and gave it many pictures to keep the listener interested. Making this podcast was fun and it has a good reason for doing it, I would be interested in helping out with this in the future.

Sound Intro and Hearing Loss
Sound travels in the form of waves. You can measure sound waves by frequency and amplitude. The shape of the room and how things are set up in the room affects the way the music is presented. You do not want a perfect rectangular room because waves will bounce back and forth crossing paths. The Today show episode showed how younger people are losing their hearing much more rapidly then elders have. We are losing it from all the music and events we go to. Hearing loud sounds affects your ears more then quieter sounds for a long period of time.

Photoshop
Through out this last week or two I have learned a lot about new tools you can use in photoshop. My favorite tool was the clone stamp. I was able to stamp things out of a photo and make the background appear where ever I wanted it too. Another tool that I enjoyed using was filters. I made a normal photo look more cartoony in a sense. This tool was very easy to use. All you had to do was click what filter you wanted to use or liked and it did all the work for you. Below are examples of these two tools that I have used within this past week in photo shop.

Photo Editing Slideshow
We have been editing photos, building our way up to creating a slideshow the last couple of days in class. I have learned how to change pictures in many forms such as rotating, cropping, fixing red eye, different affects like black and white and making adjustments to pictures such as changing the saturation. After we had learned how to do all these different things to an individual photo, we had the chance to learn how to make books and slideshows. Here is the slideshow that i have created!

Welcome!
Welcome to my new blog all for Multimedia Applications. For our first unit we are going to learn how to organize and edit photos using iPhoto. To start the unit off we have watched a few short videos introducing us on how to use key tools and where to find certain things on iPhoto such as how to build a library and how to import photos. There are two ways you can import photos, either straight from your computer or digital camera. Along with importing pictures and how to build a library, we were shown how to create a photo album. Inside the photo albums we were taught how to rename, change the order, and many other tools needed to work a photo album.
